When we were given the opportunity to show our personal collection of Japanese art we didn’t hesitate – we jumped at the chance! Our Katagami collection of over 100 framed stencils is one of the largest private collections in the UK and it was a pleasure to share our finds with fellow art lovers across the UK.
Funded by the Arts Council and Bradford Council we were able to show our Katagami stencils in their full glory. Most were framed but others were displayed on striking illuminated light boxes. Display cases were packed with our vast collection of antique art books and a special animatied projection added atmosphere to the show.
Our artworks were complemented with original armour from the Muromachi period – a permenant part of the Cliffe Castle collection.

The show was perfect in every way, atmospheric music, a sushi preview, modern graphics and information panels that complemented the artworks, a detailed website, flyers, bookmarks and email marketing campaigns.
