DAVID HOCKNEY'S BIGGER TREES NEAR WARTER OPENS AT CARTWRIGHT HALL ART GALLERY

David Hockney – Bigger Trees Near Warter

Here at Out of the Blue we were super excited when we received the brief to design invites and posters for David Hockney's Bigger Trees near Warter. This remarkable fifty-panel painting, created using traditional techniques and new technology is the largest painting David Hockney has ever produced.

Shown as part of Art in Yorkshire and supported by Tate, this is a year long celebration of the visual arts in 19 galleries throughout Yorkshire. Works from Tate's collection of historic, modern and contemporary art will be showcased through a compelling programme of exhibitions and events.

INSPIRED BY LANDSCAPE II

Landscape-1 Inspired-2
Landscape-3

We were thrilled when our latest design job landed in the mailbox this week. The Watershed Landscape 'Inspired by Landscape ll' exhibition at Cliffe Castle features the work of two very talented ladies; the multi talented poet, playwright and writer Char March and visual artist and printmaker Angie Rogers. The exhibition celebrates the work of the Year 2 artists in residence and also includes the work of local audiences who have been exploring the South Pennine landscape.

Out of the Blue designed the A6 concertina exhibition invite and also designed and produced interior graphics panels. Inspired by Landscape is showing at Cliffe Castle from 24 Sept 2011 - 15 Jan 2012.

When Bernie at Aire Valley asked for some note pads we thought it was a great opportunity for Aire Vally to showcase their new store. If you’ve not already visited, Aire Valley’s concept store really is a cyclists dream with over 7,000 sqft of wall-to-wall cycles, clothing and accessories.  The newly designed pads feature strong promotional branding and showcase the prestigious and exclusive brands that Aire Valley stock.
